[Watch] AWPCAB Chair Yvette Raphael Addresses the UN General Assembly on People-Centered HIV Services

On 14 May 2026, Yvette Raphael, Executive Director of APHA and Chair of the African Women Prevention Community Accountability Board (AWPCAB), addressed the United Nations General Assembly during a session on delivering equitable, people-centered, and stigma-free HIV services across the continuum.

In her remarks, she called for stronger investment in community-led responses, the removal of structural barriers to care, and meaningful representation of women living with HIV, key populations, and queer and transgender communities in decision-making spaces.
